Dan Ellis G I-R - Groin - 1/8/12 Ellis has been placed on the injured reserve due to a groin strain and hopes to return to the lineup in mid-February.
Matt Smaby D I-R - Thumb - 2/9/12 Smaby has been on the injured reserve since suffering torn ligaments in his thumb early in the preseason. He has been assigned to Syracuse (AHL) and his return to the Ducks is unknown.

Nathan Horton RW Out indefinitely - Concussion - 2/10/12 Horton suffered a mild concussion after taking a high hit from Flyers forward Tom Sestito on January 22nd and has yet to play since. He started to skate but had to stop due to concussion symptoms returning. There is no timetable for his return.
Marc Savard C out for season - Concussion - 10/12/11 Savard is still feeling the effects from a concussion that he suffered last season. He is still dealing with memory loss and Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli stated that Savard will miss the entire 2011-2012 season.

Corey Tropp RW Out indefinitely - Upper Body - 12/22/11 Tropp has been sidelined since the December 9th game against the Panthers with a concussion and has no timetable yet for a return.

Lee Stempniak RW Mid March - Ankle - 2/2/12 Stempniak is expected to miss the next six weeks of action after suffering a high ankle sprain during their game on January 31st against the Blackhawks.
Derek Smith D Late Feb - Ankle - 1/1/12 Smith suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Islanders on December 29th and is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
David Moss RW Out indefinitely - Ankle - 2/3/12 Moss has been out since suffering a broken ankle on November 12th against the Avalanche. He is unable to put weight on his ankle but has started doing upper body workouts. He will undergo an X-ray within the next two weeks but it is feared that he is lost for the season.
Blair Jones C I-R - Ankle - 2/11/12 Jones suffered a broken ankle after he was hit by a shot during the February 9th game against the Coyotes. He has been placed on injured reserve and is expected to miss six weeks.
Curtis Glencross LW I-R - Knee - 1/20/12 Glencross left their game on January 17th against the Sharks with a left knee injury after taking an awkward hit along the boards. He is expected to be out of the lineup for at least six weeks.

Brian Boucher G I-R - Lower Body - 2/22/12 Boucher has been placed on injured reserve due to a lower body injury, which he suffered against the Penguins on December 3rd. He returned to practice Wednesday but is still at least 10 days from returning to the ice.

Brenden Morrow LW I-R - Neck - 2/10/12 Morrow has been placed back on injured reserve with neck, shoulder and back pain and is expected to remain sidelined until late February.

Patrick Eaves RW I-R - Concussion - 2/3/12 Eaves has been placed on injured reserve after getting hit by a slapshot and suffering a fractured jaw during the November 26th game against the Predators. He underwent surgery on November 28th and remains without a timetable for return as he has been diagnosed as having concussion-like symptoms.

Theo Peckham D Ques Thurs - Face - 2/21/12 Peckham has missed the last nine games since getting hit in the face by a stick and he is considered questionable for Thursday's game against the Flyers.
Nikolai Khabibulin G Late Feb - Groin - 2/20/12 Khabibulin is expected to miss the next 7-10 days due to a sore groin, which caused him to leave their game on February 19th against the Canucks.
Taylor Fedun D out for season - Leg - 10/3/11 Fedun suffered a broken right femur during a preseason game on September 30th where he was chasing down an icing call and crashed awkwardly into the boards. He will miss the entire season.

John Madden C Late Feb - Lower Body - 2/17/12 Madden is dealing with an undisclosed lower body injury and is expected to miss the next two weeks of action.
Jason Garrison D Out indefinitely - Lower Body - 2/14/12 Garrison will be out of the lineup for a week to 10 days as he recovers from a lower body injury, which he sustained on February 11th against the Devils.
Scottie Upshall LW Mid March - Hernia - 2/1/12 Upshall will require surgery to repair a sports hernia and will be out of the lineup for the next four-to-six weeks.
Dmitry Kulikov D Mid March - Undisclosed - 1/24/12 Kulikov suffered a knee injury against the Jets on January 21st and underwent surgery two days later. He will be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
Ed Jovanovski D Late March - Hand - 1/19/12 Jovanovski suffered a hand injury against the Bruins on January 16th after getting into a fight with forward Daniel Paille. He underwent surgery on the hand and is expected to be sidelined for the next two months.
Jacob Markstrom G Out indefinitely - Knee - 1/31/12 Markstrom tweaked his surgically repaired knee and will see renowned sports surgeon Dr. John Uribe for a second opinion on his MRI results. He will be out for an indefinite amount of time until he has a timetable for a return.
Marco Sturm LW I-R - Groin - 2/4/12 Sturm has been placed on injured reserve with what is believed to be a groin injury. Coach Kevin Dineen said Sturm will be re-evaluated next week. He missed time earlier this year due to a concussion.

Brian Gionta RW Out indefinitely - Bicep - 1/12/12 Gionta suffered a tear in his right biceps against the Blues on January 10th and underwent surgery to repair the injury. He will remain out for an indefinite amount of time and could miss the remainder of the season.
Andrei Markov D Out indefinitely - Knee - 1/25/12 Markov underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in early December and has no timetable for a return. He was in the process of rehabilitating his knee and had returned to practice when the decision was made for him to undergo his third surgery in the past 18 months. He hasn't played in a game since November 2010.

Adam Larsson D I-R - Back - 2/19/12 Larsson suffered a bruised lower back on February 2 against the Canadiens after getting hit by P.K. Subban and has yet to play since. He has been placed on the injured reserve and will be out for an indefinite amount of time.
Henrik Tallinder D I-R - Leg - 2/3/12 Tallinder has been placed on injured reserve with acute thrombophlebitis caused by a blood clot in his left leg. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks with a return targeted for the first week of March. He has not played since January 17th against the Jets.
Travis Zajac C Mid March - Achilles - 2/9/12 Zajac continues to recover from a torn Achilles' tendon and has been placed on injured reserve. He is expected to resume skating in a week and could make a return to the lineup by mid March.

Travis Hamonic D I-R - Face - 2/17/12 Hamonic has been placed on the injured reserve after undergoing surgery to repair a broken nose, which occurred after taking deflected slap shot off his face during their game on February 4th against the Sabres. He resumed skating in mid-January but appears to have suffered a setback and has been shut down from off-ice workouts and skating. He is without a timetable for return.

Chris Pronger D out for season - Concussion - 12/16/11 Pronger will miss the remainder of the season, including playoffs, after being diagnosed with "severe post-concussion syndrome", stemming from a hit he took in mid-November. He will continue to receive treatment and therapy in hopes that he can play again next season.
Blair Betts C I-R - Lower Body - 1/21/12 Betts has not played a game this season due to a lower body injury. General Manager Paul Holmgren stated that Betts is unlikely to return this season.
Ian LaPerriere RW I-R - Concussion - 10/6/11 LaPerriere has been place on the injured reserve while continuing to recover from a concussion. He is not expected to play this season.

Andrew Ebbett C out for season - Collarbone - 1/12/12 Ebbett suffered a broken collarbone against the Bruins on January 7th after taking a hit from Bruins' defenceman Dennis Seidenberg during the first period. He has undergone surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
Aaron Volpatti LW out for season - Shoulder - 2/4/12 Volpatti underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum and will miss the remainder of the season as a result.
Steve Pinizzotto RW out for season - Shoulder - 11/15/11 Pinizzotto suffered a dislocated shoulder during a preseason game and underwent shoulder surgery. He will miss the remainder of the season.

He missed Wednesday's game against the Senators and is considered questionable Friday against the Canadiens.
Nicklas Backstrom C I-R - Concussion - 1/11/12 Backstrom has not played since taking an elbow to the head from Rene Bourque of the Flames on January 3rd. He has been placed on the injured reserve as a result and will be out for an indefinite amount of time.
Tom Poti D I-R - Groin - 7/14/11 Poti has been suffering a groin injury that could end his career. For now he has been placed on the long term injured reserve list.
